Under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), individuals with the skills, education, and work experience can become permanent residents of Canada and contribute to the economy of a specific province or territory. Each region has its unique “streams” tailored to various groups. For instance, provinces and territories may target:

CARE GIVER PILOT PROGRAMS

Canada offers two special immigration pathways for foreign caregivers to provide in-home care for children and individuals who are elderly, disabled, or ill:
  1. Home Child Care Provider Pilot: This program is designed for
    individuals who aim to work as child caregivers in Canadian
    households. It allows qualified caregivers to obtain permanent
    residency in Canada.

  2. Home Support Worker Pilot: This program is for caregivers
    who wish to provide in-home care for elderly, disabled, or ill
    individuals. Like the Child Care Provider Pilot, it offers a path
    to permanent residency in Canada.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should have one of the following:
*Note: Completion of only one year of a college or university program is insufficient.

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English or French, at Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) level 5 or Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NCLC) 5 in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
